• Act as liaison to accounting departments to resolve accounting issues and manage the year-end process • Track and maintain the online database of grants submitted, awarded, rejected, and other statuses • Work with principal investigators to provide fund management and make necessary budgetary changes • Approve purchasing documents and guide purchasing staff on appropriate expenditures under grant policies • Update and forecast grant expenditures for faculty grant portfolios • Manage contract and subcontract implementation processes while ensuring OSRS requirements are met • Prepare and process correspondence with granting agencies, including carry-forward, effort change, no-cost extension, equipment purchase, and budget reallocation requests • Obtain signatures and forward grant financial status reports to principal investigators and senior leadership • Monitor invoices for outgoing subawards • Coordinate internal and external requests for grant-related information • Close grant accounts and submit final progress reports and invention statements when applicable • Assist with departmental grant financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, program budgets, revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis • Assist with proposal submissions, budget and justification development, Other Support documents, report due dates, compliance, and proposal and award history
• Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum education • 2 years of relevant experience • Knowledge of SUBS system preferred • Knowledge of agency guidelines preferred • Experience with accounts processing and computerized accounting • Experience with grant administration and grants accounting • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Workday Software • Analytical thinking, interpersonal communication, oral communication, and written communication skills • No specific certification or professional license is required • A driver's license is not required • External candidates receiving an offer must complete applicable pre-employment screening
