📋 Description

• Assess, design, develop, and evaluate nursing, clinical, training, professional development, and special training programs • Ensure competency and education across all clinical areas • Provide internal consultation to management and work groups regarding clinical education • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate onboarding and orientation for clinical staff • Identify orientation requirements for clinical staff • Manage and evaluate the competency assessment process with management teams • Support professional role development • Execute special projects requested by the CED Leadership Team • Promote research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement in educational settings • Teach, coordinate, serve as liaison, and advise nurses and other learners • Collaborate with interprofessional teams, nursing officers, directors, managers, and stakeholders to facilitate nursing practice and positive outcomes • Conduct learning needs assessments and disseminate findings • Recommend educational strategies supporting regulatory and accrediting requirements • Develop and maintain educational materials and programs using adult learning principles • Serve as a nurse planner in continuing education activities • Maintain AHA instructor status and participate in AHA training • Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost in clinical professional development activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) • Current West Virginia Nursing License, license eligible or ability to obtain licensure within 60 days of hire • Must obtain American Heart Association Instructor Status (BLS, ACLS, and PALS) within one year of hire • Five years of nursing experience • Computer proficiency for communication and development of education programs and materials • Proficient in the Standards of National Professional Development practice (NPD), including onboarding/orientation, competency management, education, role development, collaborative partnerships, and Research/Evidence-Based Practice and Quality Improvement • Ability to regularly lift and transport materials and equipment of at least twenty-five pounds, stoop, and push heavy carts and equipment • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Related field preferred • Certification in Nursing Professional Development or specialty preferred • One year of experience with teaching/learning methodologies preferred
