📋 Description

• Obtain concise histories of present illness • Review and obtain past medical, social, and family histories and review of systems • Consult with and treat patients virtually through phone and/or video telehealth consultations • Provide clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic telehealth medical services and related administrative services • Order and interpret laboratory and radiologic testing when needed • Obtain records and relevant data during patient evaluation • Develop orderly care plans based on clinical impressions and evidence-based medical guidelines • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal laws and guidelines • Consult with other medical providers when appropriate • Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary • Treat patients exclusively within the Yale New Haven Health network

🎯 Requirements

• Must be licensed in Connecticut; additional New York and Massachusetts licenses preferred • Controlled Substance Registration • Federal DEA Registration • Board Certification • PALS and ACLS Certification • Previous telemedicine experience required • Must reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or New York • Availability for weekend and evening work • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays • Working knowledge of urgent-care disease states across all age groups, including chest pain and cardiac complaints, allergic reactions, fractures and sprains, upper respiratory infections, asthma and COPD, headaches, rashes and skin infections, and eye infections and injuries
