The product is developed by original Zcash protocol creators and mobile engineers focused on usability, privacy-by-default design, and minimizing data collection and tracking.

📋 Description

• Own product for everything users touch, including Zodl and future products, while excluding the Zcash protocol and Zallet • Set the product R&D agenda and report to the CEO as a peer to the Head of Engineering • Build the Product function that enables consistent product decisions • Turn strategy into clear execution • Work with Design to shape solutions before they are built • Create product specifications that give Engineering clarity • Connect Engineering, Design, Marketing, Support, Partnerships, and Product R&D around shared priorities • Establish collaborative planning as the product portfolio grows • Build lightweight systems that create clarity without unnecessary bureaucracy • Bring together strategy, customer understanding, market insight, partnership opportunities, and technical perspectives • Help the organization decide what to build and why • Improve planning, product decision-making, and organizational alignment • Grow ownership over time as capability, context, judgment, and trust develop

🎯 Requirements

• Have shipped consumer products used by ordinary people at scale • Understand crypto well enough to form opinions and recognize what mainstream users will not tolerate • Believe people should control their own money without permission • Have helped scale financial products • Have built product capabilities, not merely managed roadmaps • Move comfortably between strategic thinking and day-to-day execution • Know when process creates leverage versus friction • Make decisions with imperfect information • Connect people, ideas, and disciplines naturally • Understand a system before changing it • Willingness to perform hands-on work as situations require
