📋 Description

• Lead and independently manage multiple mechanical engineering projects simultaneously • Provide technical leadership in mechanical design, concept generation, product development, and engineering problem solving • Develop and review mechanical concepts, architectures, layouts, mechanisms, assemblies, and detailed designs • Perform or guide engineering analysis, design calculations, tolerance analysis, and design validation • Review engineering designs and provide technical direction to senior engineers and project teams • Lead senior mechanical engineers, assign work, review technical outputs, and ensure effective project execution • Act as the technical escalation point for complex engineering issues • Drive projects from requirements definition through concept development, detailed design, analysis, validation, and release • Identify and address technical risks, dependencies, resource requirements, and project constraints • Conduct design reviews, technical discussions, project reviews, and customer presentations • Interact with customers, global engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and engineering deliverables • Mentor and develop senior engineers and technical leads • Establish engineering practices, design standards, review processes, and quality expectations • Support estimation, technical proposals, resource planning, project planning, and effort/schedule forecasting • Ensure deliverables meet quality, performance, reliability, manufacturability, and documentation standards • Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, systems, software, quality, sourcing, and other cross-functional teams • Improve engineering processes, productivity, quality, and technical capability

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical engineering/product development • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering • Proven experience in technical leadership and managing engineering teams/projects • Strong practical knowledge of mechanical product design and development • Concept generation and architecture development • 3D CAD modelling and complex assemblies • Mechanism and structural design • Engineering calculations and design analysis • Tolerance stack-up and GD&T • Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) • Material selection and manufacturing processes • Design verification and validation • Root cause analysis and engineering problem solving • Design reviews and technical documentation • Engineering change management • Product lifecycle development • Risk assessment and technical decision making • Experience with CAD/CAE tools and engineering analysis software • Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously • Experience leading senior engineers and technical leads • Strong planning, estimation, resource allocation, and execution skills • Ability to manage technical risks, escalations, and customer expectations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong technical presentation, design review, project review, and customer meeting skills
