• Provide career coaching telephonically, in person at government-directed events, and virtually through MySECO, webinars, video coaching, and social media platforms • Deliver individualized career support to military spouses through career exploration, education and training, employment assistance, and work-life planning • Educate military spouses about SECO services, including the MyCAA Scholarship and career resources • Serve as the primary government source of education and career-development assistance throughout the military lifecycle • Provide information about federal, state, and local occupational licenses and credential requirements for portable occupations nationwide and globally • Offer continuity by allowing military spouses to work with the same career coach over time • Create and update educational materials in coordination with the Government • Thoroughly document coaching sessions in government systems • Respond to military spouse needs through LinkedIn, Facebook, MySECO, and other online channels • Assist with the inbound call queue during surge periods • Work scheduled shifts within call center operating hours of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, and Saturday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Career Counseling, Higher Education Administration/Leadership, Education, Adult Education, or related field • 4+ years of professional experience delivering individualized career support to diverse adult populations • Active CCC, CWDP, or NCC certification; non-certified candidates may obtain CWDP or CCC within 6 months of hire under stated alternatives • Three years’ experience in training development and delivery, public speaking, group presentation, and facilitation, preferably in adult education or medical/non-medical settings • Two years’ experience supervising or overseeing social services and/or education programs, systems, and services • Experience providing career coaching across career assessments, exploration, decision-making, resumes, personal branding, interviewing, and job-search strategies • Experience administering and interpreting career assessments • Holistic approach to adult career and educational goals • Experience in higher education or extensive knowledge of post-secondary institutions and certificate/degree programs • Experience developing and delivering presentations and/or webinars • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Evidence of successfully working in a team environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word • Strong technology and research skills; ability to navigate multiple computer systems and web-based platforms simultaneously • Home broadband internet exceeding 3 Mb upload and download speeds • Ability to accommodate full-time training for the first 6–8 weeks • Access to U.S. Government facilities and systems • U.S. citizenship • Valid driver’s license, transportation, and auto insurance • Successful completion of the full government background check process • Home office setup • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
