📋 Description

• Provide career coaching telephonically, in person at government-directed events, and virtually through MySECO, webinars, and web-based/social media platforms • Deliver individualized career support to military spouses through career exploration, education and training, employment assistance, and work-life goals • Educate military spouses about SECO services, including the MyCAA Scholarship, and career resources • Serve as the primary government source of assistance for military spouses’ education and career development throughout the military lifecycle • Provide information on federal, state, and local occupational licenses and credential requirements for portable occupations and career fields nationwide and/or globally • Offer continuity by allowing military spouses to work with the same career coach over time • Create and update educational materials in coordination with the Government • Thoroughly document coaching sessions in government systems • Respond to military spouse needs on LinkedIn, Facebook, MySECO, and other online channels • Assist with the inbound call queue during surge periods • Work assigned shifts within call-center hours of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, and Saturday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM EST

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Career Counseling, Higher Education Administration/Leadership, Education, Adult Education, or related field • 4+ years of professional experience delivering individualized career support to diverse adult populations • Active CCC, CWDP, or NCC certification; non-certified candidates may obtain CWDP or CCC within 6 months of hire under specified qualifications • 3 years’ experience in training development and delivery, public speaking, group presentation, and facilitation skills • 2 years’ experience supervising or overseeing social services and/or education programs, systems, and services • Experience providing career coaching across the full career development process • Experience administering and interpreting career assessments • Experience using a holistic approach to assist adults with career and educational goals • Experience in higher education or extensive knowledge of post-secondary institutions and certificate/degree programs • Experience developing and delivering presentations and/or webinars • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Evidence of successfully working in a team environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word • Strong technology and research skills; ability to navigate multiple computer systems and web-based platforms simultaneously • Home broadband internet with upload and download speeds above 3Mb • Ability to accommodate a full-time training schedule during the first 6–8 weeks • U.S. Citizenship, valid driver’s license, transportation, and auto insurance • Ability to complete and clear the full government background check process • Home office setup • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
