📋 Description

• Draft, review, and redline commercial agreements, including NDAs and vendor agreements • Flag key terms, risk areas, and open issues for the legal team • Build a searchable repository of existing agreements • Design an effective system for organizing contracts • Evaluate and test AI tools for legal work • Provide structured feedback on AI tool usefulness, limitations, and accuracy • Research legal questions involving privacy, employment, AI, commercial law, and contract law • Turn legal research into clear, actionable takeaways • Support improvements to legal workflows, documentation, and processes • Take on additional projects as priorities shift • Work closely with the Director of Legal Counsel • Participate in recruiter, hiring manager, and finance leadership interviews

🎯 Requirements

• Currently pursuing a J.D. • Completed a bachelor's degree • Strong legal research skills • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to identify potential legal issues and explain them clearly and concisely • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage competing priorities • Comfortable adapting to shifting business needs • Comfortable collaborating with people across a business • Curiosity about how AI is changing legal work and interest in testing new tools • Interest in how legal operates inside a technology company • No prior in-house, technology, cybersecurity, or commercial contracting experience required

• Paid internship at $30 per hour • Part-time schedule of roughly 20 hours per week structured around class schedule • Approximately three-month internship through the end of the year • NYC-based preferred, with East Coast remote option • Hands-on exposure to commercial contracting, legal research, legal operations, AI tools, and in-house legal work • Exposure to different parts of an in-house legal function
