📋 Description

• Design and own Zillow’s People Data Access & Governance program • Create policies, access frameworks, data-classification standards, and access principles • Partner with HRBPs, People Analytics, Legal and Privacy, Security, Product, and Tech leaders • Govern access from curated metric layers and self-service analytics through Databricks power-user access • Incorporate AI-powered and LLM-based workforce-data tools into the access-governance model • Define role-based access, tiering principles, and standards for granting, modifying, and revoking access • Partner with Security, HR Tech, and Data Engineering to implement governance controls • Serve as primary decision-maker for people-data access questions • Build intake, escalation, periodic access-review, exception-handling, and reporting processes • Identify and close gaps in masking, permissioning, and audit mechanisms across Zillow’s data ecosystem • Lead cross-functional working groups and drive alignment on data-access standards and sensitivity classifications

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data governance, HR technology, people analytics, or technical program management • Demonstrated ownership of a program or domain, not just project delivery • Familiarity with cloud-based analytical environments and access-control implementation • Expertise in governance design and policy rather than technical configuration • Understanding of AI and LLM-based data-governance implications • Experience governing sensitive data across its full lifecycle, including classification, permissioning, access reviews, audit trails, and exception handling • Ability to operate with autonomy and ownership in ambiguity at scale • Ability to align InfoSec, Legal, HR, Data Engineering, and Product stakeholders • Grounded understanding of the ethical and organizational importance of people-data governance • HR domain fluency • Preferred: experience with GDPR, CCPA, or similar privacy and compliance frameworks • Preferred: familiarity with AI/ML governance, model-training data, inference inputs, and agentic workflows • Preferred: experience with People Analytics or HRBP teams
