📋 Description

• Completes field inspections and related responsibilities • Measures fields, storage bins, and discusses findings of crop loss with farmers • Conveys complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people • Performs fact finding regarding crop damage, records information, and transmits loss information • Gather relevant facts utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures • Participate on projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent • 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date • Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory • Valid Driver’s License • Walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions • 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry for Crop Claims Specialist position
