📋 Description

• Complete field inspections with minimal supervision • Read maps and aerial photos • Measure fields and storage bins • Discuss crop-loss findings with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic, and controversial claims • Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people • Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage • Record and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities • Gather relevant facts, utilize applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance • Contribute to team projects and accomplish related results • Travel approximately 50% to service the assigned territory • Serve the agricultural community through crop insurance claims adjustment

🎯 Requirements

• RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area • RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire • RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the crop insurance and claims adjusting area • RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II: Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) required • RCIS Crop Claims Specialist: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry • RCIS Crop Claims Specialist: CAPP must be obtained within 180 days of hire • Reliable personal transportation • Valid Driver’s License • Ability to travel within the assigned territory; Specialist may travel outside the assigned area • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet • Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions • Preferred: Experience with fruit crops, such as apples • Preferred: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Preferred: Strong organization and prioritization skills • Preferred: Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster • Preferred: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
