📋 Description

• Complete field inspections, including reading maps and aerial photos and measuring fields and storage bins • Discuss crop-loss findings with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic, and controversial claims • Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people • Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage and transmit loss information to determine potential indemnities • Gather relevant facts, utilize applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance • Contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed • Travel approximately 50% to cover the assigned territory

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent • 2 or more years of experience in the crop insurance and claims adjusting area • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire • Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet • Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Strong organization and prioritization skills • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills • Experience providing technical training to other crop professionals • Must live and service within a 50-mile area of specified Montana or Wyoming counties • Employment sponsorship is not offered
