📋 Description

• Complete field inspections and related responsibilities, including reading maps and aerial photos and measuring fields and storage bins • Discuss crop-loss findings with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic, and controversial claims • Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry personnel • Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss information to determine potential indemnities • Gather relevant facts, utilize applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance • Contribute to team projects and related results as needed • Service agricultural communities and protect farmers and ranchers through crop insurance

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area for Crop Claims Field Adjuster I • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or years of experience in the agricultural or the crop insurance industry for Crop Claims Specialist • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date • Reliable personal transportation • Valid Driver’s License • Ability to travel within the assigned territory; Crop Claims Specialist may also travel outside the assigned area to assist with workloads, participate on CAT teams, or provide remote assistance • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 50 feet • Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills • Strong organization and prioritization skills • Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster preferred • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred • Employment sponsorship is not offered
