📋 Description

• Complete field inspections and related tasks, including reading maps and aerial photos and measuring fields and storage bins • Discuss crop-loss findings with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic, and controversial claims • Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people • Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage • Record and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities • Gather relevant facts, utilize applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned • Maintain knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance • Contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed • Travel approximately 50% to cover the territory

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent • 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date • Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory • Valid Driver’s License • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet • Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills • Strong organization and prioritization skills • Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills • Must live and service within a 100-mile area of Marinette, Oconto, and/or Shawano Wisconsin Counties • No employment sponsorship offered
