Remote Rocketship Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms govern your access to and use of Remote Rocketship, including our website, API, apps, newsletters, communities, and any events or launch campaigns we host (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, using the Platform, or accessing our APIs you accept these Terms and agree to comply with all applicable laws. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that company.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a contract.
• Keep your login credentials and any issued API keys confidential; you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate access when we detect abuse, inaccurate information, or violations of these Terms.

3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

• Paid memberships renew automatically until canceled. You can manage your plan inside the account area or by emailing [email protected].
• Charges are billed in advance. Declined payments may be retried automatically; if the payment succeeds later you will receive a confirmation email.
• Refunds are granted at our sole discretion and are typically limited to obvious billing errors. Purchasing access for scraping or reselling data voids any refund rights.
• No refunds will be issued once the subscriber has accessed the premium features of the service, including but not limited to searching jobs, clicking "Apply Now", uploading a resume, or setting up email alerts.
• By completing checkout and subscribing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service, including this refund and cancellation policy.

4. API Access & Usage

• Every API call must include a valid Remote Rocketship API key tied to an active paid plan. Keys are personal and cannot be shared, loaned, or embedded in client-side code.
• Usage is rate-limited. We may throttle, cap, or revoke access when usage exceeds allocated quotas, materially impacts infrastructure, or interferes with other customers.
• Responses may only be cached for up to 24 hours unless the API documentation explicitly allows longer retention. Historical archiving, bulk exports, or resale of our dataset is prohibited.
• You must not use the API to build a competing job board, to enrich third-party datasets that will be sold, or to power products that violate any law (including employment, privacy, or anti-discrimination regulations).
• We log API requests for abuse monitoring, usage calculations, and debugging. By using the API you consent to this instrumentation and acknowledge that we may issue new keys or require additional verification at any time.

5. Fair Use & Automation

Scraping the Platform, running automated browser sessions, or performing request bursts that mimic scraping is prohibited. We actively monitor for automated patterns and may block or throttle offending IPs and accounts without notice. If you need higher throughput, contact us for an enterprise agreement instead of bypassing our limits.

6. User Content & Feedback

When you submit resumes, job posts, testimonials, or other content you grant Remote Rocketship a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, modify, distribute, and create derivative works from that content in connection with operating and marketing the Platform. Feedback, ideas, or suggestions are voluntary and may be used without restriction or attribution.

7. Data & Privacy

Our Privacy Policyexplains how we collect and process personal data (including Google OAuth information). By using the Platform you consent to those practices.

8. Intellectual Property

Remote Rocketship, our logos, design system, job datasets, and all related intellectual property remain the exclusive property of Rocketship Jobs Ltd. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on our services unless expressly permitted in writing.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accurate listings, or job outcomes. You are solely responsible for evaluating job opportunities and ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remote Rocketship shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of USD $100 or the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rocketship Jobs Ltd and its team from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of the API or data we provide.

12. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, keys, or access at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior. For clarity, violating any affiliate program rule (including self-referrals, search-platform ads, coupon/discount listing abuse, or pretending to act on behalf of Remote Rocketship) will result in termination of your account. You may close your account at any time; provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, etc.) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced via in-product notices or email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree, discontinue use and cancel your account.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, regardless of conflict of law principles, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in London, United Kingdom.
