Descrição

• Turn product requirements into technical requirements by modeling the domain, defining interfaces and workflows, and navigating trade-offs • Break large problems into work other engineers can own and sequence delivery so useful functionality ships early • Drive high-impact architectural decisions across the data platform • Own components end to end from design through production • Work across the stack, mainly using Go, Kotlin, Rust, and Python where appropriate • Design for correctness and performance under real volume, including large-scale ingestion, distributed processing, and data lake storage • Raise the bar on design reviews, testing, and work decomposition • Mentor engineers by example in a fully distributed team • Collaborate with product, customers, and the engineering team to define and commit to scope

🎯 Requisitos

• Strong generalist with real computer science fundamentals • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and problem spaces • Ability to reason from first principles, make assumptions explicit, identify constraints and invariants, and derive solutions • Experience designing and shipping distributed data systems • Ability to make system contracts, state transitions, invariants, and failure modes explicit • Knowledge of fault models and scaling weaknesses of distributed data systems • Comfort working with ambiguity and committing to and defending scope • Effective use of AI tools and understanding of their failure modes • Clear written communication • Not required, but a plus: experience with data lakes and formats such as Parquet, Iceberg, or Deltalog • Not required, but a plus: experience at a company where data is the product
