📋 Description

• Perform installations, emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and product updates on Abbott Core Lab Division instrumentation at customer sites • Establish and sustain active communication with CSC personnel and provide daily territory support • Support sales organization efforts, including repair and maintenance of demonstration equipment • Perform modifications and engineering updates at customer sites • Adhere to operating procedures • Manage spare parts, TSS kits, and individual inventory at appropriate levels • Prepare detailed service-call documentation using an assigned laptop • Complete service tickets, expense reports, inventory records, contract follow-up, and other reports according to Abbott policies and procedures • Train customers on proper operation of Abbott instrumentation on site • Create and perform Technical Service Business Reviews as required • Recommend performance-improvement strategies for the territory • Communicate concerns and recommendations to Sales Representatives • Develop Achieving Service Excellence according to CRDx Guidelines • Participate in the Ontario FSE after-hours on-call rotation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Engineering Degree in Bio Medical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Medical Technology is preferred • Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience • Practical experience interfacing with customers preferred • Willingness to work unscheduled overtime and travel as required • Participation in scheduled on-call rotation, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage • Ability to lift and transport a laptop computer, service tools, test equipment, and service part kits • Ability to lift and relocate Abbott instrumentation during installations and routine service calls • Ability to travel, including air travel • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently
