📋 Description

• Develop and nurture relationships with established and emerging external experts • Advance AbbVie’s scientific credibility with external experts and internal stakeholders • Provide key scientific and medical information to external experts and internal stakeholders • Maintain a strong medical and scientific presence at investigational sites and key scientific centers • Facilitate Phase 1 to Phase 3 interventional clinical research trials involving AbbVie medications • Support medical and scientific information requests related to AbbVie products and therapeutic areas • Establish and maintain close working relationships with Site Management & Monitoring staff • Partner in the initiation and conduct of prioritized AbbVie-led clinical trials • Complete site engagements on time according to clinical study engagement plans • Provide scientific and technical leadership in relationships with external experts and investigators • Deliver dermatology and AbbVie pipeline presentations to investigators in sponsored interventional research • Identify R&D collaboration opportunities with institutions and key opinion leaders • Liaise with medical operations teams for further assessment of collaboration opportunities • Maintain medical and scientific field intelligence, including investigator lists and competitive research activity • Generate insights from investigators regarding challenges and opportunities for AbbVie-sponsored clinical trials • Participate in and follow up on assigned clinical studies and medical projects within dermatology

🎯 Requirements

• PhD, PharmD and MD is required • Relevant business experience with solid knowledge of the biotech/pharmaceutical industry • Previous experience as an MSL preferred • Relevant Dermatology background is considered an asset • Previous experience in a customer-facing role in the healthcare industry • Experience in the presentation and/or interpretation of scientific or clinical research publications • Knowledge of scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls • Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the assigned therapeutic area/product and medical research in general • Ability to comprehensively learn new subject areas and work within new clinical environments • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, and other healthcare decision makers • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) • Must be at ease with technology and various tools/systems used for day-to-day tasks • Strong commitment to compliance, scientific quality, and integrity • Travel required about 50% of the time • Valid driver’s license and passport • Advanced knowledge of English is an essential requirement
