📋 Description

• Establish and maintain relationships and build scientific credibility with external dermatology experts • Provide key scientific and medical information to external experts and internal stakeholders • Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for AbbVie at key research and scientific centers • Facilitate clinical research in Phase 1 to Phase 3 interventional studies • Respond to medical and scientific information requests regarding products or therapeutic areas of interest • Build and maintain a close relationship with the Research Site Management and Monitoring team • Collaborate on the start-up and conduct of priority AbbVie-sponsored studies • Complete site engagements on time and in accordance with the clinical study engagement plan • Provide scientific and technical leadership in relationships with investigators • Present medical and scientific topics and AbbVie’s product pipeline to investigators participating in sponsored studies • Identify opportunities for R&D collaborations with key institutions and key opinion leaders • Liaise with Medical Operations teams for the thorough evaluation of collaborations • Collect and maintain current field medical and scientific information • Participate in and follow assigned clinical studies and medical projects initiated in dermatology

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree required: PharmD, PhD, or MD • Relevant business experience combined with strong knowledge of the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry • Experience as a Medical Science Liaison preferred • Experience in a relevant therapeutic area required • Experience in a customer-facing role within the healthcare industry • Experience presenting and/or interpreting scientific or clinical research publications • Knowledge of scientific methods applied to clinical research and applicable legislative/regulatory controls • Strong interest in developing and maintaining specialized knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area/product and medical research in general • Ability to acquire broad expertise in new areas and environments and work in new clinical settings • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate close, collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, and other healthcare decision-makers • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) • Comfortable with technology and using various tools and systems • Strong commitment to compliance to ensure scientific quality and integrity • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time • Valid driver’s license and passport • Advanced English-language proficiency is essential for this position, as stated in the job posting
