• Manage and lead business development in key customer accounts across Manitoba and Saskatchewan • Serve as the face of AbbVie to identified Key Accounts and develop long-term customer relationships across Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease portfolios • Cultivate existing customer relationships and expand awareness and use of AbbVie Vision Care products • Manage sales at customer and hospital level according to approved marketing plans and company policies • Attain or exceed sales targets for the assigned territory • Act as customer expert and manager of AbbVie commercial relationships with External Experts • Maintain a macro view of customer relationships and work cross-functionally to maximize sales results • Ensure internal team members understand and execute customer strategy and sales expectations • Identify mutual-interest opportunities and co-develop solutions within Key Accounts • Identify challenges to customer interactions and ensure appropriate internal processes mitigate them • Advocate for customers within AbbVie by identifying issues, concerns, and priorities • Build broad and deep engagements within Key Account organizations • Develop account-specific strategies in accordance with AbbVie guidelines and values • Collaborate with the AbbVie Medical team and AbbVie Institute’s Clinical Specialist to optimize product knowledge and business training • Develop strategic business plans to increase market share in glaucoma and dry eye product portfolios • Conduct regular internal and external sales reviews of territory performance • Execute national marketing programs with cross-functional teams • Identify collaboration and growth opportunities and new Key Accounts • Manage territory budget and resource allocation
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science or equivalent, or MBA combination of experience and education required • A minimum of 5 years of Sales and/or marketing/or head office operational experience • Experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales is required • Key Account Management experience valued • A thorough understanding of the institutional/ Key Account healthcare sector preferred • Demonstrated track record of achieving and/or exceeding business results • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Strong business acumen and self-starter • Demonstrates leadership capabilities, listening and adaptability skills • Strong presentation and communication skills • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally within the company • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders both with customers & internally • Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written • Highly collaborative with a customer-centric mindset • Able to travel up to 50% of the time • Position requires evening/weekend work, including overnight travel • Valid driver’s license and passport • Ability to think strategically to support the development of a high-quality territory plan • Display sound business judgment and assess local market and set direction • Ability to predict contingent outcomes from both a customer and competitive perspective • In-depth analytical skills to assess business outcomes in the decision-making process and achieve strategic goals • Ability to communicate and collaborate with in-field team members to develop and maximize the integrated account plan
