📋 Description

• Identify and inspect trees and brush along utility lines • Map circuits using client continuity lists • Patrol and investigate distribution and transmission circuits • Enter tree-trimming and removal prescriptions into handheld computers and software systems • Notify property owners about planned vegetation work • Issue work and track work progress • Perform outage investigations • Negotiate line-clearance crew access issues • Lead storm restoration efforts and special initiatives • Participate in helicopter vegetation-observer patrols when requested • Audit tree-trimming and tree-removal work for compliance • Determine when subsequent tree trimming is required • Complete and forward post-audit forms • Conduct training, safety and productivity audits, quality assurance, and quality control assessments • Obtain permits and document work • Perform emergency-response duties as requested • Serve as liaison among clients, tree crews, and client customers • Maintain relationships with client personnel and governmental agencies • Participate in public presentations and meetings as required

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Biology, or related field, or high school diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in lieu of the diploma/GED • 2 years of utility vegetation management experience • ISA Utility Specialist Credential required • State-issued pesticide license required • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Ability to learn and use company or job-specific software systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software suite • Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates • Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather • Ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle • Ability to multitask and work independently and as part of a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Critical-thinking and sound-judgment skills • Strong understanding of FAC-003 • Project-management knowledge • Drug testing required
