📋 Description

• Own cloud and platform security end to end across AWS and Azure, including Ada’s agentic AI platform. • Architect, design, and operate security technologies across cloud, network, identity, endpoint, and application layers. • Define cloud security reference architectures, threat models, and guardrails aligned with zero trust and least privilege. • Own the lifecycle of security tooling including cloud-native security services, SIEM, CSPM, CIEM, EDR, DLP, and vulnerability management platforms. • Build safety guardrails into the agentic platform and partner with Reasoning Engine and Playbooks teams. • Set secure-coding, review, and threat-modeling standards for new agentic features. • Establish security observability, detection, alerting, and response integrated with Datadog and Sentry. • Engineer automated response and remediation workflows using cloud-native automation, SOAR, and infrastructure as code. • Lead cloud security incident investigations and participate in security-relevant on-call. • Turn recurring security and infrastructure requests into self-serve tooling and embed security into CI/CD and deployment workflows. • Translate NIST SP 800-53, PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks, and AWS Well-Architected requirements into technical controls. • Support vendor and dependency security, audits, risk assessments, and evidence collection. • Serve as a cloud and platform security subject matter expert, mentor engineers, and make architectural decisions shaping long-term security posture. • Deliver secure-by-default infrastructure, close agent guardrail gaps, improve incident readiness, and enable faster secure engineering delivery. • In the first 90 days, map the attack surface and access model, replace one high-volume manual request with self-serve tooling, and close a guardrail gap.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or security engineering, including setting technical direction across multiple teams. • Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS; Azure experience is a plus. • Strong experience designing and securing cloud IAM, networking, secrets management, and distributed systems at scale. • Extensive experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform or CloudFormation, and policy as code. • Experience building or operating detection and response systems including SIEM, CSPM/CIEM, and cloud security monitoring. • Experience with or a strong point of view on securing LLM and agentic AI systems, including guardrails, safe tool use, and failure isolation. • Track record of turning recurring security and infrastructure requests into self-serve tooling. • Ability to translate compliance and risk requirements into technical implementations. • Ability to influence architecture and engineering decisions across teams and mentor senior engineers. • Comfortable operating independently, owning long-term technical initiatives, and participating in security-relevant on-call.
