📋 Description

• Act as the in-charge and main point of contact for multiple clients • Manage workflow and coordinate work among Aduro team members, including the Director or Senior Controller, Accounting Managers, Staff Accountants, and Management Company Team members • Set up and run recurring client check-in calls covering current status, open items, and upcoming operational needs • Respond to ad-hoc client requests thoughtfully and professionally, in line with Aduro processes and industry best practices • Respond to all client request emails within 24 hours • Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero • Drive the month-end close process and raise follow-up questions to the Director, CFO, or client as appropriate • Reconcile and maintain investment information for all fund investments • Prepare quarterly financial statements, including partners’ capital allocations • Use the proprietary investment management database to send investor correspondence, including capital contributions, distributions, and quarterly reporting • Update the proprietary investment management database for fund activity and investments • Prepare audit materials and manage year-end financial statement audit and tax work • Respond to ad hoc General Partner / Limited Partner data requests • Lead a team focused on delivering high-quality client service and technical work • Balance client needs with team needs and provide solutions • Mentor and coach team members

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry; Venture Capital and/or Private Equity experience is preferred • External auditor experience / CPA certification / MBA a plus • In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting including complex allocation waterfalls • Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements on multiple clients • Strong problem-solving skills • Passion for mentoring and coaching team members • Proficient in accounting systems such as Xero or Quickbooks • Comfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law and regulations
