📋 Description

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, backup power, and emergency systems • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings • Ensure compliance with NEC and IEC standards, codes, and regulations • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on specifications, design criteria, and project budgets • Analyze electrical systems for load balancing, capacity planning, issue resolution, and power-consumption optimization • Monitor and maintain electrical systems through preventive maintenance, testing, and repairs • Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and training programs • Evaluate advancements in electrical engineering and data-center technologies and recommend improvements • Act as the electrical discipline lead and remain accountable for project success • Provide specialized technical input, mentorship, and leadership to supporting staff and mid-level engineers • Approve and sign off on work as Engineer of Record • Provide engineering budget and schedule estimates for large, complex projects • Lead technical client relationships and support business development and sales • Travel occasionally for client meetings, project milestones, onsite collaboration, and other business-critical activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in electrical design and/or electrical engineering focused on data center infrastructure, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Professional Engineer License (P.E.) or Professional Engineer Designation (P. Eng) is required • Extensive experience in electrical engineering for data centers or other critical facilities • Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA70) • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships • Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to enhance client experience • Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software, specifically ACC Cloud • Experience with data center design and construction, including design criteria and industry standards • Ability to work remotely from the United States where AECOM has an office • Availability for occasional scheduled travel and in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office
