📋 Description

• Support proposal development by creating deliverable lists, estimating engineering hours, and providing mechanical engineering input • Serve as lead mechanical engineer on medium to large projects • Develop project deliverables and manage junior mechanical engineering staff • Coordinate mechanical design with other disciplines and project management • Develop P&IDs, equipment location plans, piping plans, piping isometrics, piping material specifications, equipment lists, line lists, specialty items lists, and construction scopes of work • Coordinate scope changes, engineering budgets, and schedule constraints • Perform and check equipment sizing, hydraulic, and pipe stress calculations • Support equipment procurement through specifications, data sheets, quotations, technical bid tabulations, and vendor data reviews • Conduct occasional site visits for proposals, walkthroughs, field data acquisition, design verification, and construction support • Assist with project model development and system layout • Assist with workload distribution and manpower loading plans • Provide feedback, mentorship, and leadership to developing engineers

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Professional Engineer (PE) License • Understanding of design, industrial process, and energy projects • Experience in industrial and/or energy-related fields • Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including API, ASME, PIP, ANSI, and ASTM • Experience with engineering calculation software such as Pipe-Flo, Applied Flow Technology Fathom, and CAESAR II • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred • 9+ years of experience in industrial and/or energy-related fields preferred • Must be eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship for US employment authorization is unavailable now and in the future • Relocation is unavailable
