📋 Description

• Lead product design from discovery through interaction design, prototyping and delivery support • Design responsive web and mobile banking journeys, including onboarding, authentication, payments, transfers and account management • Translate complex requirements into clear flows, wireframes and accessible interfaces • Consider connections between digital journeys, branches, contact centres and virtual banking services • Conduct member interviews, usability testing and other assignment-appropriate research • Combine research with analytics, member feedback and support insights to identify friction • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to establish priorities and design direction • Define success measures and validate proposed improvements • Understand vendor capabilities, design systems and implementation constraints • Work with architects and developers to assess configuration, platform extensions and custom development • Explain trade-offs in terms of member value, accessibility, effort and delivery risk • Tailor reusable components and interaction patterns while maintaining consistency • Create interactive Figma prototypes to test concepts and communicate design intent • Provide clear specifications and collaborate with engineering during implementation • Review implemented experiences and help resolve usability issues • Contribute to AEQ’s digital banking evaluation methods and reusable design practices • Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, Solution Architects, product managers and lead developers

🎯 Requirements

• Five or more years of UX or product-design experience, including ownership of complex web or mobile experiences • Significant financial-services design experience, ideally in digital banking, payments or lending • Portfolio showing contribution from problem definition and research through design and delivery • Strong hands-on Figma skills, including components, variants, auto layout and interactive prototyping • Experience working within established design systems and technical constraints • Strong interaction-design, information-architecture and accessibility skills, including familiarity with WCAG • Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers • Confidence facilitating stakeholder discussions, explaining recommendations and delivering independently • Clear written and verbal communication • Based in Canada and legally eligible to perform the engagement • Degree or diploma in Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • Some assignments may require regular collaboration during North American business hours
