📋 Description

• Direct the strategy and execution of Engineering and Technology at Aerostrat • Enable development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient applications and services • Lead project management, technical architecture, and engineering methodologies • Build a highly skilled Engineering team through recruiting, upskilling, mentoring, and retention • Partner with the CEO, Leadership team, and Product team on product and company vision and strategy • Create and execute Aerostrat’s Engineering strategy • Communicate technology and Engineering vision and strategy to internal and external stakeholders • Set goals for the organization and Engineering department • Lead the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, planning, design/architecture, execution, hosting, deployment, and maintenance • Build out Aerostrat’s technology stack and maintain an Engineering hiring/staffing plan • Recruit, interview, and onboard Engineering talent • Coordinate the Information Security Management System (ISMS) • Participate in the Information Security Team as the technical and Engineering department representative • Oversee implementation and compliance of Engineering information security controls • Oversee information security controls for production infrastructure • Interface with prospective and current customers as the face of the Engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in B2B SaaS • 5+ years of software engineering leadership • 5+ years working with Azure or AWS cloud projects and managing total cost of ownership and/or development • 5+ years of system design experience • 5+ years working directly with customers • Expert experience in software engineering design, development, and testing • Expert understanding of software security, performance, globalization, and scale • Significant experience with C#/.NET • Significant experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL Databases • Significant experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Significant experience with AngularJS (1.x) or similar frameworks • Significant experience with REST APIs and microservices • Significant experience with pipelines such as Webpack • Significant experience with WebGL and/or Canvas • Significant experience building, deploying, and supporting B2B cloud solutions on Azure or AWS • Significant experience growing, upskilling, mentoring, and retaining a high-performing Engineering team • Comfortable interfacing with prospective and current customers • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2 • Self-starter interested in learning and improving the engineering stack • Positive attitude and excellent written communication • Preferred: Background in aerospace or maintenance of durable assets • Preferred: Experience building a team and launching new products • Preferred: Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR • Preferred: 3+ years of HTML/CSS/JS and AngularJS or similar experience • Preferred: 3+ years of Python or similar experience • Preferred: 3+ years of C# and/or ASP.NET or similar experience • Preferred: 3+ years of SQL Server, Azure SQL, SQL, and/or DBA experience • Preferred: 3+ years of IdP, Entra ID, SAML 2.0, or OIDC experience
