📋 Description

• Mature Affirm’s insider threat program • Lead key insider threat workstreams from initial design through day-to-day operation • Build investigative standards, playbooks, metrics, and reporting • Support insider risk investigations with SIRT, including telemetry and evidence analysis and written findings • Partner with Legal, HR/Employee Relations, Privacy, and Compliance on case handling and escalation criteria • Threat model high-risk data and systems for insider risk and turn results into production detections with detection engineers • Own and improve controls including DLP, endpoint monitoring, secure browser and contractor access controls, SaaS posture management, and access governance • Automate evidence collection, case routing, and reporting with workflow automation platforms and Python • Build and expand agentic automations for insider risk triage and investigation while defining human-review boundaries

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in security engineering, security operations, insider risk, or digital forensics • Track record of standing up new security capabilities where little existed before • Experience running investigations end to end, including evidence handling, log and endpoint forensics, timeline reconstruction, and written findings suitable for Legal and HR audiences • Ability to write and evaluate detection logic against endpoint, identity, cloud, and SaaS telemetry in a SIEM such as Splunk, Elastic, Panther, Chronicle, or similar • Hands-on experience with DLP, UEBA, endpoint detection and response, CASB, and access governance • Working knowledge of Python for security tooling and automation • Experience building and maintaining production workflows in Tines, Torq, or similar automation platforms • Experience building and running agentic automations in production for alert triage and investigation, with human review controls • Discretion and sound judgment handling sensitive investigations • Ability to navigate privacy, legal, and employee-relations considerations • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across Security, Engineering, Legal, HR, Privacy, and Compliance • Experience in regulated or financial services environments (SOC 2, PCI DSS, GLBA) is a plus
