📋 Description

• Design the next generation of Affirm’s Checkout Platform • Build financial products and features that improve accessibility and flexibility for users • Design and implement APIs and microservice interfaces managing customer transactions • Identify opportunities to improve performance and reliability across systems driving the purchasing journey • Design forward-looking approaches to solve large, open-ended problems • Own checkout-system components and define their long-term health • Improve the health of surrounding systems • Collaborate with engineers across the organization to build the next-generation checkout platform • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the checkout platform

🎯 Requirements

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Proven track record of developing, testing, and shipping high-quality software at scale • Experience designing and implementing APIs and microservice interfaces • Experience improving system performance and reliability • Python • Kotlin • RPC • Redis • MySQL • AWS • GitHub • Clear verbal and written communication • Ability to collaborate with product and engineering leaders and provide peer feedback
