📋 Description

• Administer and optimize VMware vSphere and ESXi infrastructure • Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot vSphere and ESXi environments • Manage, secure, tune, and troubleshoot Windows Server infrastructure, including Server 2019, 2022, 2025, and newer platforms • Administer SAN infrastructure such as NetApp • Develop and maintain VM snapshot policies • Configure and monitor automated backup solutions such as Veeam • Support consolidation of on-premises and hybrid infrastructure into cloud-based environments • Perform infrastructure assessment, migration planning, workload transition, and post-migration optimization • Design, implement, maintain, and test solutions for business continuity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and high availability • Monitor infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement tuning and optimization strategies • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation processes • Apply best practices for Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and other core networking services • Ensure infrastructure operations align with security, documentation, and compliance requirements • Lead cross-functional efforts, mentor junior staff, facilitate knowledge transfer, and align stakeholders with technical plans • Provide strategic input on infrastructure initiatives, recommend advanced technologies, and manage vendor relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Active Public Trust clearance (or higher), adjudicated within the last 5 years • 6–8+ years of recent experience as a senior vSphere administrator, minimum version 6.7 • Expert-level experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting vSphere • Expert-level experience provisioning, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting ESXi hosts • Experience creating and managing snapshot policies • Experience configuring and scheduling automated backups, such as Veeam • Experience administering SAN devices, such as NetApp • 5+ years of recent experience as a senior Windows Server administrator • Experience with Windows Server 2019, 2022, 2025, or newer • Expert-level experience installing, administering, configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments • Experience with performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of VMware and Windows environments • Disaster recovery and high availability experience • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting • Knowledge of Active Directory and networking, including IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, VLANs, and DNS • Experience working in regulated government environments is nice to have
