📋 Description

• Designs, builds, manages, and operates platform infrastructure and application environments, focusing on automation and infrastructure as code • Leads engineering practices around test-driven and continuous delivery of infrastructure • Designs, builds, manages, and operates continuous delivery frameworks and tools • Automates the lifecycle of platform components • Operates infrastructure-as-a-service layers across hosted and cloud-based platforms • Develops monitoring solutions using Datadog, New Relic, Azure Monitor, and similar tools • Develops log analytics and logging-as-a-service solutions for hosted applications • Integrates platform components and develops services focused on open source and low-friction developer interaction • Evaluates performance, demand, and capacity trends and establishes scalability plans • Identifies and troubleshoots availability and performance issues across hardware, operating environment, network, and application layers • Recommends and maintains technology-related policies and procedures • Implements, configures, and operates applications and platforms supporting Allstate’s engineering and business teams • Owns system lifecycles, integrations, security, maintenance, reliability, and compliance • Coordinates enhancements, troubleshoots issues, and ensures SLAs are consistently met • Improves tools and processes that enable efficient application use

🎯 Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience preferred • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Azure Cloud Services • Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and its relationship with Azure and M365 • Deep understanding of Azure Management Groups and Policy • Deep understanding of Azure Regions, Availability Zones, VNets, Private Endpoints, and ExpressRoute • Experience with GCP services including Compute, IAM, Networking, and image management • Experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, and Application Knowledge • Experience in testing and programming • Solid background in Software Development / Projects and building Cloud (Azure) Solutions • Ability to mentor team members on engineering practices including extreme programming, product mindset, cloud/as-a-service approach, and infrastructure as code • Willingness and competence to produce necessary infrastructure and process changes • Ability and willingness to work in an Extreme Programming environment and paired programming/engineering model • Ability to facilitate diverse teams, multitask, and work under pressure to meet aggressive schedule targets • Ability to work effectively across organizational and geographical boundaries • Ability to identify creative solutions for technical support issues • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups and present ideas clearly • Successful completion of a background investigation • Generally, no employment-based visa sponsorship for this position • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
