📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and confirm the facts surrounding losses for advanced home insurance claims and major losses • Determine coverage and damages • Adjust and negotiate claims within discretionary authority limits • Build relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines of insurance • Evaluate settlement options by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair practices • Make decisions regarding the best settlement option • Negotiate the most complex settlements and process the related payments • Document all activities in the claim file • Create and review damage estimates for complex first-party home insurance claims • No supervisory responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Valid AMF licence required • Certificate of College Studies (AEC) in property and casualty insurance is an asset • At least 5 years of field experience • Experience managing major-loss files • Thorough understanding of the wording and content of all policy types written by the company • Strong understanding of basic estimating principles • Strong English-language skills required for regular, effective communication with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada, unless otherwise indicated • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements
