📋 Description

• Participate in periodic strategic conversations with AlphaHire • Review selected opportunities or strategic decisions • Make introductions where independently considered appropriate • Advise on which government opportunities to pursue or reject • Identify risks and underestimation in the government buying process • Advise on capabilities needed before pursuing larger contracts • Advise on priming versus partnering decisions • Explain how to build agency credibility as a newer entrant • Identify post-award mistakes that can create problems • Advise on building government contracting capability without unnecessary overhead • Potentially provide separately scoped, paid execution support for capture, proposal development, contract strategy, or client work

🎯 Requirements

• Significant government contracting experience • Experience with federal, state, or large municipal government contracting • Experience with capture strategy and opportunity qualification • Experience evaluating RFP/RFQ/RFI and making bid/no-bid decisions • Experience with proposal strategy and competitive positioning • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government procurement processes • Experience with IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, GSA schedules, or similar contract vehicles • Experience with prime/subcontractor and teaming strategies • Experience developing agency relationships • Experience with contract compliance and post-award execution • Experience with professional services, research, analytics, workforce, infrastructure, technology, or consulting contracts • Experience building or scaling a government contracting function • Background as a government contracting executive, former contracting/procurement leader, capture executive, government practice leader, or senior operator at an established federal contractor • Ability to provide practical judgment based on actual government contracting execution • Ability to challenge assumptions and provide candid strategic advice
