📋 Description

• Develop a distinctive, compelling story around the technology, mission, and founders • Own communications strategy and execution for the emergence from stealth and major product, funding, and partnership announcements • Cultivate relationships with journalists, influential researchers, industry voices, and key players across the US and global AI ecosystem • Build founders’ public profiles through positioning, interviews, and speaking opportunities • Monitor the US AI and technology ecosystem, particularly conversations on X, and translate insights into guidance for founders and the Munich-based team • Work with researchers and engineers to turn complex technical work into audience-specific narratives • Advise leadership on public perception, sensitive communications, and emerging AI and robotics debates • Manage the Munich-based communications hire, coordinate external agencies and partners, and own communications strategy across the US and Europe • Work directly with founders and technical leadership to build the global communications function • Lead the public launch and establish the company’s presence in the global AI conversation

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic communications or public relations, with a proven track record of building high-profile narratives for technology companies • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment • Deep immersion in AI and technology culture, particularly on X • Strong relationships across leading US technology media and the broader tech ecosystem, with demonstrated success securing substantive, high-quality coverage • Experience advising founders or senior executives, including navigating high-stakes announcements and sensitive reputational issues • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to engage with researchers and engineers, challenge assumptions, and translate sophisticated technology into compelling, credible narratives • A highly proactive, resourceful approach; comfortable building strategy, writing and pitching independently, and leading a small international team and external partners • Experience in deep tech, AI, robotics, or hardware is a strong plus • Willingness to travel regularly to the Munich headquarters and spend meaningful time on-site with the team
