📋 Description

• Provide leadership and coordination of property financial statements for a group of clients • Lead a team of assistant controllers and accountants • Interact regularly with clients and auditors • Ensure accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles • Supervise accounting for a specific team of accountants • Ensure delivery of financial statements by required client delivery dates • Communicate with clients about property financial performance and respond to accounting questions • Ensure accuracy of financial statements prepared by the accounting team • Review rent rolls, reconcile bank statements, and monitor monthly operating results against budget • Coordinate with operational team members to prepare and approve property financial budgets • Coordinate with the Controller, CFO, and Assistant Controllers on departmental goals, policies, and procedures • Participate in hiring and annual performance reviews • Manage efficiency and make staffing recommendations • Support audit requests and recommend procedural improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA Eligible or CPA Preferred • Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills • Deep understanding of financial concepts • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail • This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to additional compliance requirements
