📋 Description

• Design and develop mechanical systems and mechanisms, including performing analysis and trade studies to optimize performance, efficiency, and manufacturability • Execute detailed engineering design work in accordance with established standards, procedures, and program requirements • Collaborate with internal teams to support system integration, assembly, and testing activities • Partner with external vendors by defining requirements, reviewing designs, and tracking development progress • Develop and maintain mechanical documentation, including requirements, drawings, interface definitions, and test procedures • Define and validate mechanical interfaces between subsystems and components • Support qualification testing (e.g., vibration, thermal, environmental) and evaluate results • Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions • Present technical findings and design updates during reviews with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Identify and implement process improvements, new technologies, or innovative design approaches

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably involving complex systems or hardware development • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) • Additional experience in aerospace, space systems, or other high-performance environments (preferred) • Familiarity with multidisciplinary systems involving electrical or software components (preferred) • Experience supporting hardware through full lifecycle (design to testing and delivery) (preferred)
