📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable test automation frameworks • Create and execute automated tests for backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and end-to-end user workflows • Design automation strategies for interactive maps, geospatial data, dynamic visualizations, and other non-standard UI components • Validate cloud-native applications deployed on AWS and ensure system reliability across distributed architectures • Troubleshoot application and test failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for high-quality software releases • Partner with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams to promote quality throughout the SDLC • Advocate for quality as a shared engineering responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Development and Test Automation • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript • Extensive hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright • Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured, Supertest, or equivalent frameworks • Strong knowledge of AWS services • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB • Experience validating, troubleshooting, and testing applications deployed in AWS environments • Ability to work independently, take ownership of testing initiatives, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal guidance • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Preferred: Experience testing microservices and distributed systems • Preferred: Experience validating interactive maps, GIS/geospatial features, data visualizations, canvas-based applications, or other highly interactive user interfaces • Preferred: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
