📋 Description

• Responsibility for the security architecture of the infrastructure based on Proxmox VE, Ceph, RadosGW, MariaDB/Galera, PostgreSQL and other open-source components • Implementing and continuously improving Security-by-Design principles in a fully self-hosted stack (on-premises, German data centers) • Securing and hardening Linux systems, virtualization platforms, clusters and networks • Operating and monitoring distributed systems with high availability and data integrity • Integrating security monitoring, logging and auditing with tools such as Loki, Prometheus, Grafana, Wazuh, Falco, or similar • Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure secure CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform) • Assessing and implementing compliance requirements (BSI, GDPR, eIDAS, Signature Regulation, ERV specifics) • Performing risk assessments, penetration tests, vulnerability analyses and security audits • Defining and implementing disaster recovery and backup concepts (e.g., Ceph snapshots, offsite backups, restore tests) • Supporting incident response and forensic analysis during security incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience operating security-relevant Linux infrastructures • Strong knowledge of system hardening, patch management, encryption, authentication & authorization • Experience operating high-availability systems and clusters (Ceph, Galera, Proxmox HA) • Understanding of requirements from eIDAS, QES, remote signature, ERV or comparable secure transaction systems • Knowledge of security incident management and building SIEM solutions • Experience with open-source components and their secure operation in self-managed data centers • Analytical thinking, high attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility • Team player with willingness to share knowledge, self-initiative and an interest in open-source technologies • Business-fluent German (C1) and good technical English
