📋 Description

• Own engineering problems and outcomes end-to-end, from deciding what to build through shipping and measuring whether it worked • Frame problems with product managers, run experiments, and incorporate customer evidence • Harden critical paths, eliminate incident classes, and design team-wide abstractions • Review risky changes • Raise risks early and protect appropriate tradeoffs • Share learnings about AI with the engineering team • Develop registry recommendations and validate them through live experiments • Build evaluation systems to detect AI support-agent hallucinations • Create a single source of truth for children's information across product flows • Work with Rails monolith, MySQL, AI tooling, data systems, and infrastructure • Collaborate with product, design, data, and business partners • Engage directly with customers through user interviews, session recordings, and support ride-alongs

🎯 Requirements

• Production systems experience for years; specific minimum duration not stated • Ability to own ambiguous problems end-to-end and exercise strong judgment • Generalist engineering skills across backend services, frontend, and data pipelines • Ability to learn unfamiliar parts of the stack quickly • Experience with Rails, Packwerk, React, TypeScript, Sidekiq, MySQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Weaviate, WarpStream, Hex, Sigma, AWS SageMaker, MLflow, Claude Code, Devin, Linear, CodeRabbit, Warden, LangChain, Bedrock AgentCore, Maxim, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, incident.io, LaunchDarkly, Shopify, and Iterable • Ability to participate in technical screen without AI • Willingness and ability to use AI in work and the hiring process • Candidate's submitted work and interview responses must reflect their own thinking
