📋 Description

• Lead technical projects from design through launch and iteration for performance cycles, compensation planning, talent reviews, total rewards statements, and self-service tools • Design scalable architectures integrating Workday, Ashby, internal systems, and the people data platform • Build security into products, including role and reporting-line access, protection of compensation and performance data, and audit trails • Partner with Total Rewards, HR business partners, Talent Management, and People Operations to turn people programs into usable products • Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate design, development, and testing • Raise engineering standards through design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship • Own products and outcomes after launch, iterating based on real-user feedback

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience • Full-stack experience building web applications • Depth in at least one of Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Kotlin • Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React • Experience designing systems handling sensitive data, including authentication, fine-grained authorization, and auditability • Experience building internal tools and production systems • Experience taking a product from 0 to 1 and making architectural decisions with incomplete information • Experience integrating with an HRIS such as Workday and related systems such as Ashby, Lever, Shareworks, or Okta • Familiarity with people programs, including review and calibration cycles, compensation bands and merit planning, and job architecture • Experience in a regulated or privacy-sensitive environment • Clear communication with non-technical partners and product judgment to simplify complex processes • Self-directed approach, curiosity, privacy awareness, ownership of outcomes, and ability to improve others through pairing, reviews, and writing • Legally eligible to work in Canada
