📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Banner Health’s multi-cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and OCI • Help lead Banner Health’s long-term cloud strategy • Ensure scalability, security, resiliency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across cloud systems • Collaborate with Cloud Platform Engineering & Operations, Network Operations, Digital Engineering, IT partners, business units, and support stakeholders • Lead cloud adoption and migration initiatives • Enhance cloud maturity and performance, implement best practices, and drive cloud-based innovation • Serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor for cloud-platform solution delivery • Provide strategic and technical oversight for multi-cloud environments and cloud architecture and governance initiatives • Design, develop, and oversee platform-engineering service offerings • Recommend cloud-native solutions and provide thought leadership in cloud-native technologies, DevOps, platform engineering, automation, and observability • Implement and maintain secure cloud connectivity solutions • Integrate cloud solutions with on-premises infrastructure • Manage disaster-recovery and response plans for cloud outages, security events, and incidents • Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, disaster-recovery plans, and ongoing gap analyses • Develop and deliver proofs of concept • Create innovative hands-on service offerings for production • Design and implement automation tools for efficient cloud-service deployment • Lead and mentor cloud engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience • At least 15 years of software engineering, digital engineering and application modernization experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing cloud and microservices at scale • Demonstratable relevant experience optimizing Kubernetes deployed workloads on cloud platform • Experience with AI development tools • Experience leading peers in the delivery of enterprise solutions • Proven experience with platform operating models and product-driven digital engineering • Hands-on experience designing and scaling digital applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure • Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives • Professional-level certifications on public cloud platforms preferred • Experience in Healthcare Information Technology strongly desired • Deep knowledge of at least one cloud provider among Google, AWS and Azure, and working knowledge of other clouds • Experience with cloud cost optimization • Experience with listed coding/scripting languages, software development frameworks, databases, CI/CD and version-control tools, container registries, deployment managers, container platforms, observability tools, security tools, and work-management platforms • Ability to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours • Must live in one of the listed eligible U.S. states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV, or WY
