📋 Description
• Advise clients on surtax/tariff exposure, customs compliance, and trade strategy across Canadian and U.S. regimes • Analyze classification, valuation, origin, and trade remedy risks • Develop defensible technical positions and draft advisory memoranda • Lead and support clients through CBSA verifications, and dispute resolution matters • Communicate directly with clients and regulatory authorities • Collaborate with tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border teams across Canada
🎯 Requirements
• University or college degree/diploma in a Customs and International Trade discipline • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in customs advisory, international trade compliance, or regulatory dispute resolution • Demonstrated experience handling customs issue resolution and verifications • Strong working knowledge of tariff classification and valuation principles • Proven ability to draft technical memoranda and regulatory submissions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
