📋 Description

• Record daily and monthly financial transactions, including bank activity, general journal entries, and other accounting transactions • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and intercompany transactions • Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies • Support month-end close activities by preparing schedules and supporting documentation • Investigate routine to moderately complex discrepancies and escalate complex issues • Follow established accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency • Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain information and resolve transactional issues

🎯 Requirements

• Successful completion of post-secondary education in accounting • Experience with accounting systems, such as Sage 300 • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial operations • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills • High attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines • Effective problem-solving skills for investigating discrepancies • Strong organizational and time management skills • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Process-oriented mindset focused on accuracy and consistency • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment • English proficiency required • Bilingualism in French and English required
