📋 Description

• Lead the design and delivery of land development projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and public infrastructure developments. • Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, and roadway improvement plans. • Develop technical reports, studies, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates. • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery. • Serve as a primary client contact and coordinate with agencies, consultants, and project stakeholders. • Provide technical leadership, QA/QC review, and mentorship to engineering and design staff. • Support entitlement, permitting, and construction-phase services as needed. • Maintain knowledge of applicable Federal, State, County, and local design standards and regulations. • Solve complex engineering challenges, drive project success, and contribute to the growth of the Land Development practice.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent. • PE license required (California PE preferred). • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in land development engineering. • Strong experience in site development design, including grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, and roadway improvements. • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required. • Demonstrated project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination. • Strong technical, communication, and leadership skills. • Experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. • Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations. • Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.
