📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of engineers • Set clear goals and run structured development conversations • Identify team skill gaps, particularly in AI tooling and version control discipline • Build targeted development plans • Own delivery and velocity outcomes for team projects • Identify bottlenecks early and maintain tight execution • Collaborate with product and cross-functional stakeholders to define and prioritize deliverables • Establish engineering standards for CI/CD practices and scalable development workflows • Foster full-stack thinking and end-to-end ownership of business problems • Guide architecture and technical decisions for real-time financial infrastructure • Shape engineering culture and team development within a growing fintech

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience • At least 3 years leading a team with direct reports • Strong full-stack fundamentals • Ability to identify architectural risk and guide technical decisions across the stack • Experience building and scaling distributed systems, APIs, or platform services • Experience managing engineers through growth, performance challenges, and organizational change • Comfort with remote-first synchronous and asynchronous daily collaboration with fluid times • Strong written communication and clear documentation skills • Ability to remain technically engaged in architecture, code leadership, and mentoring while managing people, priorities, and stakeholders • Experience in fintech, payments, or credit card infrastructure is a bonus • Familiarity with MySQL optimization, multi-tenant platform architecture, or real-time transaction processing is a bonus • Experience using AI-assisted development tools is a bonus • Background in regulated environments, including PCI DSS and financial compliance, is a bonus • Experience leading remote-first teams is a bonus
