📋 Description

• Research, design and implement low-level Windows system optimizations and tweaks to improve performance, usability (QoL), and battery efficiency • Benchmark and analyze system performance using tools like Perfmon to ensure tangible improvements • Deep-dive into system behaviour by modifying Windows registry and core services • Collaborate closely with the product and desktop teams to integrate optimizations into the application • Translate deep Windows internals knowledge into practical, impactful improvements for users • Discover niche user needs and improve Windows experience across devices

🎯 Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Windows internals (registry, services, core components) • Hands-on experience optimizing system performance with focus on battery efficiency • Extensive experience with monitoring tools like Perfmon and performance analysis • Experience modifying system behaviour (Windows registry and core services) • Comfortable using project management software Linear and Google Workspace • Proficient with Git and GitHub for source control at scale • Familiarity with Tauri framework (preferred) • Experience with Windows APIs (windows-rs or WMI) (preferred) • Familiarity with PowerShell & Batch (preferred) • Excellent project management and team communication skills (preferred) • Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills (preferred) • Experience in an early stage tech startup or SME as a lead or senior developer (preferred)
