📋 Description

• Build and ship LLM-powered features and agentic workflows for customers • Automate routine parts of insurance claims and guide customers through remaining steps • Scope problems with product managers and data scientists through production deployment • Define and track feature metrics, token budgets, and latency budgets • Write evals, guardrails, and feedback loops for trustworthy AI features • Review agentic coding tool output for correctness, security, and design issues • Maintain and extend NLP pipelines converting unstructured claim data into structured data • Build and operate durable event-driven services with agents inside deterministic workflows • Use checkpointed model outputs so retries do not re-invoke completed LLM steps • Trace model calls and agent steps for reconstruction, auditing, source citations, and alerting • Model and query claims data across relational, document, and graph stores • Design tenant isolation, least-privilege agent access, and model data-sharing controls • Write technical design documents and obtain team feedback and buy-in • Participate in a shared on-call rotation

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least one LLM-powered feature shipped and operated in production • Python and TypeScript: typed, tested, async code in both, with real depth in one • Evals designed for LLM output, plus shipped guardrails • Daily production use of Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic coding tools, including constraining context and verifying output • Experience blending LLMs with semantic search and classical NLP, including structured output, tool calling, embedding-based retrieval, and choosing classical techniques when appropriate • Experience with message- or event-driven architectures, long-running workflows, retries, idempotent handlers, event-sourced state, and an LLM or agent step • Data modeling and development across relational, document, and graph databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Neo4j • Experience building and operating backend services on Azure or AWS • Exposure to Temporal or Durable Task Scheduler • Experience writing technical design documents to obtain team feedback and buy-in before implementation • Clear writing and discussion for technical and non-technical audiences, and ability to give and receive code review • React and TypeScript experience preferred as an additional qualification • Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Bicep • Experience with agent frameworks including LangGraph or Microsoft Agent Framework, and MCP, A2A, command-line tools, or microservices • Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tooling such as LangSmith, Arize, Braintrust, and OpenTelemetry-based tracing • Experience designing A/B tests for AI features or what-if simulations • Exposure to insurance, claims, or automotive repair domains
