📋 Description

• Oversee financial and accounting services, including financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant expense tracking, grant reporting, and ad hoc reporting • Review financial statements for GAAP compliance • Prepare annual budgets and monthly client forecasts, providing insight into financial condition • Oversee annual financial and governmental A-133 audits, including work papers, auditor liaison duties, and understanding governmental programs • Ensure accurate and timely compliance reporting • Serve as fiscal liaison to Authorizers, Counties, and State and Federal Agencies • Train client staff on proper implementation and adherence to internal controls • Communicate financial information with organizational leaders and executives • Exceed client expectations for information quality and accuracy • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with client leadership and staff • Maintain current knowledge of the charter school industry and related funding through professional development • Mentor staff and support their professional growth

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required • 7 years of experience, including some oversight and development of staff, is required • Experience in AZ, FL, RI, MN, ID, TX school and nonprofit finance • Ability to participate in a close, highly collaborative team environment with clients and Charter Impact staff • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Self-starter able to prioritize and multitask without daily direct supervision • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel • Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar nonprofit accounting systems
