📋 Description

• Develop, scale, and maintain platforms and services supporting Cisco services, data platforms, and the Meraki Dashboard • Build infrastructure and data pipelines that power data-driven decisions • Design, build, ship, analyze, and maintain scalable distributed enterprise software solutions for recording and consuming telemetry data • Build and maintain backend components using C++ in a Linux environment • Improve reliability, performance, scalability, testability, maintainability, observability, and developer experience • Work with Engineering and other Cisco groups to understand internal and customer data requirements and requests

🎯 Requirements

• Experience analyzing, scaling, troubleshooting, and debugging distributed systems • Experience developing software using C++11 or newer standards • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub • Experience deploying applications using containerization and Kubernetes • Experience designing and querying relational databases using SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL • Experience using automated testing frameworks within the software development lifecycle • Experience using LLM-based coding assistants within the software development lifecycle • Programming experience in Rust, Scala, or Python preferred • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana preferred • Experience with LaunchDarkly or similar feature flagging tools preferred • Experience maintaining database software preferred • Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment such as Scrum or Kanban preferred • Ability to comment on the differences between prompt engineering, context engineering, and agentic engineering preferred • Must be a U.S. Person, including U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee • May be required to perform work specified by the U.S. government as limited to a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil
