📋 Description

• Shape technical defaults as one of the first backend engineers on the Cloud Partner Integrations team • Own integrations end to end, including design, code, and production systems • Design authentication and identity flows, multi-tenancy, data movement and storage boundaries, performance, and production behavior • Own infrastructure, CI, deployment, observability, and on-call operations • Build on and manage constraints from external platforms • Partner with internal teams to refine product requirements and agree on interfaces and protocols • Proactively identify ways to maintain progress across team dependencies • Collaborate with the engineering manager, product manager, growing team, and engineers across the broader organization

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building software, including substantial experience with data-heavy or integration-focused systems • Proficiency in TypeScript or Go, or comfort contributing to both • Solid backend and systems expertise • Ability to reason about deployment topology, multi-tenancy, and data movement • Experience with modern authentication protocols, service principals, and identity federation • Experience building on external platforms with incomplete documentation and potential breaking changes • Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and make sensible decisions under uncertainty • Comfortable working primarily as a backend engineer and contributing to a modern React application • Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot • Strong written communication skills for chats, design documents, and RFCs • Experience with a major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystem preferred but not required • Depth in authentication and identity federation, partner security reviews, marketplace requirements, or certification requirements is a bonus • Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms or related isolation and deployment topology is a bonus • Working knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP engine is a bonus
